Yes, patio is open (weather permitting) along with inside eating. Calling ahead is suggested for inside patrons.
Im pretty sure they do have salads and at carlos you shoukd expect to pay anywhere from 7 to 10 bucks for your meal if you want a full belly
Great food great prices
I like to eat here when I'm in Hartville. The people are great, prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is small town relaxed and there's no waiting in line. The food is very good, though I'd like to see a better side salad, which consisted of iceberg lettuce with a tomato wedge, 2 olives and a few slices of banana peppers. The house Italian dressing is delicious though. I haven't tried a dessert but they look delicious.
The food is fantastic everyone is super friendly and the drinks were perfect flawless experience.
Kind of pricey, but worth the trip if you're already in Hartville. Easily the best independently owned restaurant in town for quality of food and service!
Great Food! Definitely worth a visit!Wonderful family run Italian restaurant. Beats the pants off the chain Italian restaurant. We had not stopped into Carlo's for a while, so it was a treat to have dinner there again. As always the food was great. Our family opted to not have one of their fantastic large pizzas, really, really big for a family of four. Instead we each had a different dish of their Italian specialties. Mannacotti, Chicken Alfredo, Spaghetti with Meatball and Pasta with Alfredo sauce. All were served with salad and their homemade bread. The kicker for me was the homemade Stuffed Pepper soup. I think I could have had that as a meal. Rich tomato sauce with meat over rice. It was fantastic. We promise not to stay away so long again. We would be missing out on this fantastic family run dining spot. Definitely worth a stop while you are near Hartville.
Wish we had you in Cuyahoga Falls. Delicious and nice atmosphere.
Cozy dining with a variety of choices on their menu. Great priced lunch specials.
Great food & nice big patio
If I lived in Hartville, I would make this place one of my regular spots. Great food, average to below average pricing, and service was excellent. Oh, and despite it being in Hartville, you can order adult beverages here (even on Sunday) .
Great meal and great service as alway
Only my second time to Carlos and I already can't wait to go back. I had the pizza the first time which I would totally recommend but I wanted to branch out and tried the pasta which I can now comfortable endorse as well. Everything I have tried has been yummy and I can't wait to get to try something else on my next visit.
Doesn't get any better Italian food than this. The lasagna was outstanding!
Friendly staff, makes everyone feel at home. Garlic bread is delicious. Grilled chicken Caesar salad was generous portion. Homemade dressing was very good. Chicken was well seasoned but dry.
More food than you can eat. Good prices and the food was good. I had a toddler in tow and an infant in a car seat and the place was a little difficult to navigate with it's slender walkways. I would guess this used to be a house that was changed into a restaurant. Pretty though.
One of my favorite family owned restaurants! Their prices are excellent, good lunch and dinner place. Intimate setting, great service and amazing red sauce!
Marinara sauce on my pasta lacked flavor..bland. salad and rolls were good. May go back and try their pizza. Service was good
The place has a rep with the locals for good Italian fare. Being that I love Italian, I have tried this place several times. The food is decent with good sauces and dough. The service though has been horrible 4 of the 6 times I can say I have been there. Maybe it's because I am from the city, but I live here now and I drive out of town for my Italian cravings.
Great Italian eatery in Hartville. Fresh food, fast atmosphere and the staff is great. Never had a bad experience here. This is a must stop in restaurant if you're planning a trip to or through Hartville.
THE best Italian I have had in a while. Food was great. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. A very family friendly environment. We will return.
Great food good prices friendly staff. It's a lot bigger than it looks
Friendly faces greeted us, friendly folks waited on us. Good wine selection. EXCELLENT food. And, bought 6 cannoli to go! MADE IN HOUSE.
Good food great service
Great service and the food is always fresh and visually appealing.
My husband & I used to go here when the kids were at Lake High School. It was our place. We moved back to Hartville and are delighted to enjoy great Italian dishes again (25 years later)!!!
Just came here for the first time and we were told the Stromboli was the most popular dish. We got it and some spaghetti dishes but it came out with raw dough I thought I was eating a really cheesy part but then I Took a closer look. I sent it back and they put it in the oven for maybe four minutes and it came back again completely raw the guy must have had no idea what I meant when I sent it back with Raw. Ugh. Cannolis were good and homemade the sauces are also homemade but the spaghetti although says fresh is not homemade and the meatballs are also not homemade. Cute place though too bad we won’t be back.
Absolutely love this place and stop whenever i make it to Hartville. Great food and great service! Highly recommend eating here!
Food was good. I had the chicken parmigiano. Big serving of chicken. Almost too much. Breading was light and crunchy. Just the way it should be. Side of spaghetti comes with the dish. Pasta cooked nicely but the sauce was a bit bland. This was served with a side salad. Basic iceberg lettuce, a few pepperoncini, some olives and a tomato wedge. As came with 2 pieces of garlic bread.
Terrible experience. Server was very rude. & food was less than average. Had to ask for refills multiple times & it took forever to get them. Once we were ready to cash out we had left no tip in the card as we were leaving cash. $6 to be exact on a $20 tab. As the server walked away from our table she very loudly stated to another employee “oh wow she left me $1...like do you want us to even cook your food next time?” Definitely will not be back.
Delicious food as always. Has such a wonderful old Italian feel. Offers a big selection of not only classic Italian, but also a great selection of pizza. We have carried out and dined in both are exceptional. Great specials, great value.
Wouldn't let me pre-order before I got there, even if I paid. Needed to get in and out quickly. Pizza needs more sauce, but very good. Tastes like NYC style.
Very good food , fresh and tasty
Great little restaurant! Pizza was delicious best I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful small Italian restaurant with great food. Very clean and Covid managed. Servers are friendly and professional. Must try if going to Hartville Market. Its just down the road.
Home style Italian. Good food with a limited menu. Very homey.
Great date night special Friday night! Quick, friendly service and good red sauce.
Very good food. Fast service. I wish the quantity of food for take out was a larger portion
Very good marinara sauce. The Pizza can be inconsistent, but overall a better than average place to eat, with a charmy Hartville atmosphere.
Small town place with delicious food at great prices, and big portions too! Fast service and friendly staff. The place was actually bigger than it looks from the outside too.
Ordered takeout during the pandemic and we were so happy with our food. My wife got a calzone and I got a stromboli and both were delicious. Shop local and small!
Wow. We were THRILLED with our meal. In the past we hadn't had the best service or food. The food was bland and staff acted like we inconvenienced them for being there. I read similar reviews, then reviews that were the complete opposite, so I decided to try Trattoria one more time. I think they must have really taken the online feedback to heart, bc my experience was a complete 180 from before. We had lasagna, which tasted absolutely AMAZING. Only thing I would tweak would be to drain the pasta better. The wedding soup was hands down the best I've ever had. The caprese salad was delicious with fresh mozerella, and even the once tasteless garlic bread was now yummy. The meal was a bit pricey, but the portions were large so we had enough to two days of dinner. Our server was smiling, went above and beyond, and was extremely kind. I could not be happier with our experience, we will definitely be back!!
Carlo’s is your average little local Italian restaurant. The food is good and the staff is always friendly
Always good overall. Great staff....
I go there for pizza practically ever Tuesday. Great food, good prices, and good service.
The best tasting food in the area.
If you're sitting there reading tons of reviews and trying to decide where to eat, and you've stumbled on my review, you're in luck. I've decided for you! Come here! Carlo's is fantastic in all aspects. The food is phenomenal, the prices and daily specials are bar none, staff is the nicest and most considerate you'll find. 5 star food, service, prices, and environment. You wont regret eating here!
Spaghetti delicious as ever, although portion size was much smaller
This is my absolute favorite casual Italian restaurant. They have the perfect blend of casual dishes, like pizza sandwiches and stromboli, and full pasta meals, garlic bread included obviously. If you like cheese, please try the calzones. It's pumped full of ham, mozzarella, and creamy ricotta filling and it's a cheese lover's dream, served with a dish of their house made marinara for dipping. I'm sure you can also get them without the ham for my vegetarian friends. Warning: you definitely can't finish one in a sitting, they're huge. If pasta is more your speed, they have fantastic gnocchi. They also have spumoni ice cream, which is a must of you haven't had it before. The atmosphere is also fantastic, and the place is super well kept up and clean. Better than the Hartville Kitchen ANY day.
Was staying in a cabin in the area and needed a date night away from the kids. This place is a house turned restaurant, but offered great service and good food at an affordable price. Would highly recommend.
Best damn pizza I've ever had. Just need to add Mountain Dew to their menu.
Super little restaurant... good food and prices were just right...good place to stop in Hartville, Ohio
